8 Months Old & an Avocado

Hadley is 8 months old today! It's hard for me to believe that in 4 months she will be 1 year old! It's so fun to see her little personality coming through. She is such a fun-loving little girl. She loves to laugh, CHATTER (she never really stops - especially saying "Da-Da-Da"), smile, play (really into playing peek-a-boo with anything she's holding - she's even managed to play with Chris' hand and my hair), & eat puffs (& other food, but puffs are her fav). She even has learned to give "kisses" to her daddy & me (when she feels like it), which just melts our hearts. She is starting to get her bottom two front teeth and seems to be doing ok with teething. The tips have been poking out for about a week so we are just waiting for them to sprout! Here are some pics I took of her about a week ago - I just can't seem to get enough of those blue eyes and chubby cheeks! :)

Hadley's little brother or sister is 16 weeks along and is currently the size of an avocado! My parents were giving me a hard time that they haven't heard all the details of how Squirt B is growing like we did with Hadley (we are a little more pre-occupied this time), so I thought I'd give a little visual! I have my 16 week appointment today (with a new doc), so I will let you know how it goes!

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! Announcing Squirt B!!!

I'm PREGNANT!!! Yes...again! :) Chris and I are excited to announce (if you didn't already know) that we are expecting our 2nd child August 5. That will make this baby ("Squirt B") and Hadley ("Squirt A") about 14 months apart, so we will be busy! We feel very blessed. I am 15 weeks along this week - it is amazing how fast this pregnancy has gone compared to my pregnancy with Hadley. In 5 weeks I will be halfway! I guess that's what happens when you are busy taking care of a baby while brewing another one! ;) Overall, I have been feeling pretty good. I have been a lot more nauseous this time around - mainly just in the morning before I eat breakfast. I have a great gag that makes Hadley laugh. Mainly, I have just been REALLY tired. That might have something to do with single handedly providing for 3 lives, as I like to say (because I am still nursing Hadley). We are going to try to start weaning Hadley in the next few months, so pray for us! :) She has only tried a bottle a few times and didn't really like it, so I'm hoping to transition her straight to a sippy cup.

These ultrasound pics were taken when I was 12 weeks to determine how far along I really was. Squirt B looks great so far! Please keep us in your prayers and we will keep you posted!

Lindos in Leavenworth

We decided to get out of town this past weekend to Leavenworth while we waited for Chris' results from his big NCLEX test to become an RN. He took the test last Friday, so we knew waiting the 48 hours to find out would be LONG...BUT we found out Sunday morning that he PASSED!!!!! I knew he would! It was so fun to be in Leavenworth to celebrate - I'm SO proud of him. We had such a great time - it was our first real family "vacation" with just the 3 of us. Hadley didn't sleep very well in the hotel, but we had a great time during the days! :) We ate, walked around the village, and relaxed. We stayed in the Bavarian Lodge and highly recommend it! A huge thanks to our friends Lindsey and Brian who watched Koda while we were gone...

Our new favorite pic of Hadley!! Chris said, "Hey SQUIRT!" to get her to look at him, and this is what she did! SO FUNNY!!! This is her new funny face - she breathes in really hard when she does it. ;) Side note: she sat in a big girl high chair at the restaurants for the first time all weekend!
