32 Weeks & Showered With Love!

We are down to single digits of weeks we have left, with only 8 weeks to go (give or take)! It's so hard to believe we will have a baby girl in the next couple months! She has sure been kicking me HARD lately...it is really fun (as long as its not in the middle of a work meeting). :) She was kicking so hard over the weekend that Chris and I were just watching my belly bulge and move as she did...it is so amazing! Sometimes I think I am fighting with her foot (or some other body part) as she will kick out and I will press and push it back in. Its a fun game we like to play. I have my 32 week check-up tomorrow, so I will let you all know how that goes. I'm sure it will be pretty uneventful...

I'm still feeling pretty good...although the past couple of days of 85 degree weather has been a little uncomfy for me. I am HOT all the time and have a fan on my desk at work about a foot away from my face. So weird, cause I was always cold pre-pregnancy! I'm so glad I don't have to go through the heat of the summer pregnant...I can handle June!

On Easter weekend Chris and I went to the West side of WA and my family and friends threw a baby shower for me! I have to give a special thanks to my friends, Lindsey and Sarah who helped to throw this along with my Aunt's Susan and Sue, my Grandma Donna Belle, and of course my mom who always adds all of her special touches. It was such a special time, and we feel so blessed by everyone's love and support. We actually feel a bit more prepared for baby girl to enter the world! Here are some fun pics from our time:

27 Years Old & 30 Weeks!

Well, this has been another big week for us. Today is Chris' 27th birthday and mine was on Monday (I'm SO much older and wiser, I know)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!! Funny how our perspective has already shifted...it is no longer about us, but about our sweet baby girl on the way. That being said, we decided not to do anything crazy for our b-days since we are saving all we can for when baby comes, but we did go out to eat to celebrate...and I have strict instructions from Chris to make a cake tonight! ;) He knows he doesn't have too much arm twisting to do with me these days when it comes to food!! Thanks to all of you who called or wrote us notes to wish us happy b-days! It means the world to hear from you!

In honor of our special days, I thought it would be fun to post some old pics of us as kids...my how we have grown (at least physically). :) Before baby comes, I want to find our newborn pics so we can compare and figure out who our little munchkin looks like!

Speaking of growing...I am now 30 weeks, which means we have less than 10 weeks (give or take) to go!!! It's so crazy for me to think that my friend, Sarah, gave birth to baby Justus at 30 weeks. I just can't imagine having our girl right now and am reminded how strong they all are for all they have gone through. By the way...they are doing GREAT (praise the LORD)! To check them out and see how cute Justus is, here is their blog: http://fuccillofamily.blogspot.com/

Here is my latest belly pic to show you how me and baby are growing...
I'm definitely feeling pregnant these days...it took awhile for me to get here (thankfully), but I now feel full-on prego! Baby is now about 3 lbs and is about 15.5" in length. The latest veggie she is compared to in weight (for those of you counting at home) is a large head of cabbage. :) Another thing I read compared her to a mini yorkie terrier in size (that's for you, Christie)! She likes to kick mommy a lot, especially when Daddy talks to her. I am supposed to do "kick counts" to make sure she is moving and doing ok in there...the goal is to feel her kick 10 times in an hour twice a day. Her record for this is getting her 10 kicks in a MINUTE! I have a feeling we are going to have a very active child!!! Does that really surprise you, knowing Chris and I?

My latest symptoms are feeling like I can't get a full breath, being congested (which I have been my whole pregnancy), feeling a little uncomfy in my lower belly region where all my ligaments are growing and stretching, and having some back pain. All in all, it's really not that bad at all and I am just thankful that everything is going so well!

Thanks for all of your prayers and support...we love you all!!!
