A couple weekends ago a few people in our lives deserved the "Weekend Warrior" title: 1) My mom...AKA-"Grandma Holly"/"Momolly" 2) Hadley...AKA-Hads/Haddy/Buggles/Squirt A/etc. 3) Auntie Amy...AKA-"Bunny Rabid"
~GRANDMA HOLLY~
My mom drove over from Western WA by herself to come spend a few days with Hadley & I while Chris worked 3 straight 12 hour shifts at the hospital. Let me just say it was AMAZING to have her here and have some help with our little monster AND someone to keep me company (an ADULT who I can talk to so I didn't have to talk to myself all day like normal ;) ). We didn't do anything out of the ordinary -just went through each day with our "To-Do List" (my mom's a list maker like me) and got errands done, went shopping, and my mom even watched Haddy for me one day while I got my hair done! It made those 3 days that are usually soooo LONG fly by. I didn't want her to leave! I realized how spoiled all my friends are who live close to their parents. ;)
~HADLEY~Hadley deserves this title for her valiant efforts in attempting to crawl...she is getting SO close! Here are some shots of her in action. She even was getting into push-up position! I think my 8.5 month old can do more of a push-up than me right now...sad. ;) All I will say is that for NOT being able to crawl, this girl can get around the room! I looked over the other day and she had log rolled across the room! I'm currently looking into gates to cage her in...hehehe

If she could only get her feet behind her without falling on her belly...

Chris made her do push-ups for disobeying...
DROP AND GIVE ME 10! (just kidding!!!)

I love my toes and laughin at Daddy...

What you lookin' at?!
~AUNTIE AMY - "BUNNY RABID"~
My sister-in-law (Chris' sister) is the captain of the Atomic City Roller Girls here in Tri-Cities and we got to go to their first roller derby scrimmage of the year in Hermiston, OR (only about half hour away). We had never seen roller derby before and let me tell you - it was an experience! There were SO many people there! When we showed up it was so loud with music blasting - Hadley just immediately started crying. It settled down though, once they started their bout, and she was mesmerized by all the movement and colors (and puffs we kept feeding her!). :) Amy is a stud and would send girls flyin on their rear-ends with one swift hip bump! Girls fallin on skates is rough and when they create a domino effect its even rougher! One girl broke her leg and another broke her arm (neither one because of Amy though)! Bunny Rabid is Amy's derby name...each of the girls have one and it is kind of their altar-ego when they lace up those skates. ;) I recently watched the movie Whip It with Drew Barrymore about derby, and must say I learned a lot more about the game! These girls can roll!

Amy "Bunny Rabid" is #14 with the pink helmet

Derby in motion...

Hads was a little uneasy at first! :)

Check out that crowd!! Standing room only...
